One of the simplest and most complicated poses. Requiring strength and flexibility, balance, breath control and stamina. And yet, it looks so straightforward, and many teachers call it a resting pose. For most people this pose is safe to practice through most of pregnancy, although it should generally be avoided or modified for high or low blood pressure, carpal tunnel aggravation, heartburn, nausea and near the end of pregnancy if a baby is descended occiput anterior. Do you find this pose comfortable and relaxing, or more challenging?
