Yoga and Fitness e-Treat

Join Nicole Allison and Victoria Lock for a virtual yoga and fitness retreat (or e-Treat)! Throughout the day, we will have 2 yoga classes, a body weight boot camp, a cooking class for a healthy plant-based lunch, a goal setting workshop and a meditation practice. You will receive the grocery list when you register so that you can make sure you have all of the ingredients for the meal. None of the yoga or fitness classes require props or weights, so you can participate even if you do not have any equipment at home!

All classes will be taught via Zoom, a free app that is available on most devices. After the e-Treat is over, you will receive access to recordings of the yoga, fitness and meditation sessions so that you can use them any time you want! Join us for the whole day in person, or join live for a portion and complete the rest at your own pace.

Time: 9 am – 4 pm

Cost to attend: $50 per person

Approximate Schedule:

9 am – 10 am Rise and Shine Yoga

Vinyasa style class designed to get you moving and get you ready for your day. Link movement with breath and move mindfully through sun salutations as well as seated and standing postures.

10 am – 11 am Introductions/Break Time

11 am – 12 pm Body Weight Boot Camp

Exercises designed to challenge you physically, with no exercise equipment required. Modifications will be available throughout the class.

12 pm – 1:30 pm Cooking Class and Lunch Time

Enjoy a delicious plant-based meal that you prepare while following along with our cooking class. A list of required ingredients will be provided prior to the workshop so that you can get everything that you need. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can still join us for the class and lunch break.

1:30 pm – 2:30 pm Reflection and Goal Setting

Take some time to reflect on your fitness journey, and set some goals for the future. We will review the SMART principles of goal setting, and take some time to review your goals with you if you’d like.

2:30 pm – 3:30 pm Foam Rolling/Yin Yoga Class

This portion of the e-Treat is designed to stretch and/or roll out your muscles to reduce soreness. For each part of the body, we will introduce an option for rolling and an option for a static stretch. You can choose to stay with one option for the whole class, or switch it up as we move through the poses/movements.

3:30 – 4:00 pm Guided Meditation

Sit or lay down, and take part in a guided Lovingkindness meditation. Finish the day on a positive, empowering note.

Victoria Lock, B.Sc.

Certified Personal Trainer

Victoria is a certified personal trainer with a Bachelors Degree in Human Kinetics. She has a personal passion for fitness and loves cooking healthy (and not-so-healthy) meals. One of her proudest fitness accomplishments was completing the Niagara Ultra Marathon.

Nicole Allison, B.A.

Certified Yoga Teacher

Nicole is a certified yoga teacher, with over 800 hours of yoga training. She has been practicing yoga for more than 10 years, and teaching since 2014. Her classes focus on mindfulness, breathing and self-exploration.
